Firewood provided by NPS was clutch! Be sure to bring a splitting maul or large ax to break the wood down. Campsite was great and centrally located to great hiking.

Stayed overnight at #49. Very cool campground. Visited near the end of the season and it was very busy but didn't feel crowded.
Bathrooms were well maintained and there was plenty of firewood available. We were able to fit three smallish (1-2 person) tents on the tent pad but it was tight.
Some very pretty and quiet hiking trails in the vicinity.
Brought a lapsed camper and someone who only camped once decades ago and they both had a great time. It's a shame the campground doesn't stay open past early November.

I visit Owens Creek campground regularly as a retreat from the busy life I lead. I love the peace of the forest, the soothing moonlight, and the joy of making a fire. It helps that the bathroom is kept super clean and firewood is always available.

Clean and quiet campground. Sites are always well maintained. Camp host is usually out and about and is always friendly. Also, park rangers patrol through frequently. Bring an axe to split the firewood, the pieces are fairly large. Old school candy and ice cream shop off Route 15 is worth the ride.

The campground is nice and quiet. Plenty of available wood for a fire. I find the trail maps take a lot of getting a custom to. I don’t think that’s the problem of the campground however it is taken me many trips to figure out the trail maps. Thanks
