Owens Creek Campground offers a serene and well-maintained camping experience with spacious, private sites nestled among trees. Campers appreciate the friendly and attentive hosts, clean bathrooms, and complimentary firewood, enhancing the overall enjoyment of their stay. While some noted occasional noise from other campers and the need for trail maintenance, the peaceful ambiance and natural beauty make it a desirable destination for future visits.

Great campground. Very helpful to have firewood available. The hiking trails around the park are easy to access and pleasant. The only slight issue was that our tent pad had a very thick tarp lining it underneath the mulch, so we couldn't stake out our tent. Luckily, there were rocks around, so we made it work, but it would have been good to know beforehand.

This campground is by far my favorite. The restrooms are spotless, the staff is friendly, and the sites are situated perfectly in the woods. I usually go solo camping and I always feel safe while camping at Owens Creek!

Wooded campground. Sites are not level for vehicles but they are large and private. We stayed here to go to Gettysburg.

Because I am a retired carpenter I really enjoyed the sawmill exhibit. Bathhouse was clean and excellently maintained.

Love Owen's Creek campground! Such a beautiful area, one of my favorite places to explore in MD. Easy access to bathrooms, showers, and hiking. Will absolutely be back!
Oh, and you might want to bring an axe to chop wood, the wood they provide tends to be rather large chunks and I've found it easier to keep the fire going strong if I break it down a bit more. Most sites have a good stump to chop on.
