I had a great experience camping here. I loved how wooded the campground is and there is some privacy between the campsites. While it was August, the elevation combined with the tree cover meant that the afternoon heat was tolerable. I also really appreciated the free firewood which made cooking over the campfire that much more fun!

Owens creek is one of the best tent site campgrounds out there. Always a good time. The new camp hosts stopped by to check in and were very friendly.

Great facilities! Felt very private despite proximity to other campers. Just wish the firewood had been dry, but wonderful time nonetheless less. Very clean site.

Easy to make reservations and a perfect place to stop overnight when traveling from DC to Gettysburg. Excellent trails with opportunities for all levels of hikers. Had a nice breakfast at Thurmont Kountry Kitchen.

We loved our camping trip even though it was hot. We brought fans so that helped and it cooled off at night. We also played some disc golf, which we love. As for suggestions, it would an even better experience id we could have rented a boat of some type. A canoe or a kayak would have made it even more fun!

Lovely quiet campground. The sites are a little small but far enough apart that it would be ok even if more people were there. We didn't see anyone on a wednesday night. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and the restroom was very clean. I would definitely go there again.

Great place to stay, no cell service (not an issue just something to plan for), my site felt very private and lots of beautiful hiking nearby

Camp was nice in under the tallest trees. We were only there for a quick overnite, and if the ladies shower area would have been better lite, it would've been 5 stars.
