We had a great experience at Owen's Creek! Each spot has a designated pad for your tent, nice sturdy picnic table, and fire pit- and to our surprise the fire wood was provided for free (they had a wagon for you to bring it to your site from a central location). The camp hosts were very nice- our friends forgot a tarp for their tent and they had one for them to borrow! We booked a little close to our camping date, so our sites were fairly close to others, but there were quite a few nice, more private spots around the perimeter of the campground. Even so, the noise/privacy wasn't that big of a deal to us, and everyone in the campground abided by the quiet time hours. There's a nice loop trail right off the campground that was about 1.3 mi, perfect for a little hike with kids, and it ended at the creek for some time in the water. My only complaint was that the bridge at the end of the trail over the creek could've used a few extra rows of railing- I was a little nervous with my 3 year old walking on it. Overall, a great, family-friendly place!

The hosts of the campsite were wonderful. The campsites were clean. The surrounding natural forests were incredible. The only problem were from children from other campsites who found it amusing to shred styrofoam all over the campgrounds. This was not the fault of the hosts, but rather negligent parents who let their children run rampant;. They ran all over the campgrounds shredding sytoroam because it squeaked. It made the camping expirience much less enjoyable.

Nice stay at site 51. Site is a short walk to bathroom and the wood shed. Campground hosts were very friendly. Easy to get to hiking trails and visitor center. Cunningham Falls State Park is close by and has some nice hiking trails and a nice campground as well.

Don’t think, just book. Perfect little place if you want to be in this area- campsites are a good size and in good condition, volunteers are sweet, and firewood is complimentary.
