I loved the cabin, bathrooms and pool. I came in late at night and found it difficult to find the building for check-in. I did find the key and after some time found my cabin. I recommend getting there before dark.

Depending on Camp Hosts of which there has only been trouble with one who was rude to the point of making a 4 year old little girl cry--- every stay has been the absolute best.

As a grandma I have decided not to let ONE Camp Host ruin years of family togetherness. We will be returning for mu annual birthday stay and look forward to building and maintaining friendships we have made with Rangers and fellow campers.

We had a great time at Misty Mount. The cabins are super rustic. We really enjoyed the newly renovated bathhouse, and the pool was a hit with the kids.

My kids and I love the sense of timelessness in these cabins built during the era of FDR's Conservation Corps, coupled with a great shower/swim bathhouse facility.
Looking forward to another stay next year.

Camp Misty Mount is such a special place and is one of our family’s favorite places to camp. Serene, historic, and beautiful. We love the lower area for the quiet and more wooded environment, and highly recommend cabins 29 and 30. The trails to Wolf Rock and Chimney Rock are our favorites, as well as the route from the Blue Ridge Summit Vista to the Thurmont Vista. Don’t miss this park!

This is our second year taking our girl scouts to Misty Mount, renting out all lower site cabins and the lodge at the bottom of the hill. We had a great time and cabins were good.

This year we did notice that bathrooms were not as clean as the previous year, we had one cabin invested with mice, one cabin roped off and not available, and the rangers acted like we were a huge inconvenience to their day. (Names maybe Aiden and Jessica?) We arrived with little kiddos in tow, after an hour plus drove who needed to use the latrine. We drove down to the site at 2:45 so the girls could go to the bathroom and the rangers blocked our drive so we could not go down to the site. (As of we had done something very wrong by arriving 15 minutes ahead of schedule.) They told us to back out and go until 3pm. We were eventually let on to the site at 3 pm (reservation time) but we felt very unwelcome. At check-in, I did ask about the ranger who was there last year (Adam maybe?) and they said he was gone. Too bad because he was so nice to the scouts and made us feel welcome to the site.) Last year the rangers spoke to the younger campers and explained the site. That was a nice thing.

If I were managing this site I would encourage the rangers to be friendly with guests, and to say something encouraging or welcoming to young campers as they arrive. Maybe get Adam
Back:) At least he was friendly. Otherwise the wilderness there is always perfect. Thank you for having our young campers.
