Our family has camped at Camp Misty for 37 years. It has become a tradition for us, a place of safe haven. A place of relaxation. A place of family time. We enjoy the outdoors, and each year we look forward to our trip up to Maryland just to camp out at Camp Misty.

Have stayed in this particular cabin a few times and can’t help but feel like this camp ground is such a gem! We are truly fortunate to have this available for us! The park rangers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you to staff and volunteers for always being welcoming!

Great experience. The volunteers were very helpful. Cabin was fairly clean with no hidden surprises. They warned us about mice and raccoons so we kept our food secured. Didn’t have any issues the whole time. Wish the pool could have stayed open through the entire Labor Day week, but we got one day in the pool.

Nothing was level outside the cabin. Picnic table was very uneven. Needed rocks under the Coleman to make it almost level. No railing going up the uneven 6 steps. Really? Needed wagons to reach the cabin with our gear.

Had a great time with my grandsons. Camp Misty has always been great. My only complaint is that you can no longer rent a cabin for just one night. It's still a great place to stay and I have never been disappointed for the past 20 years that we have been visiting Catoctin.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time. Wonderful cabins, clean facilities, great firewood, spectacular pool and well-priced. Second time going and we'll be back. Woods are so much cooler than the city.

General
- Reservations Required. Book reservations up to 6 months in advance. Walk-in reservations are not available. You may reserve the entire Camp Misty Mount (29 cabins). The campground capacity is 127 people
- Parking. No parking or vehicles are allowed in cabin areas with the exception of initial unloading and final departure loading. Vehicles will be permitted in cabin areas for persons with a disability or otherwise limited physical mobility.
- Bring All Gear. Visitors must bring their own bedding, cookware, food storage, water containers and first-aid supplies.
- Other restrictions. No pets, alcohol, weapons or hunting is allowed. Do not attach items to the trees or cabins. Do not put up canopies. Heat sources are prohibited inside all cabins and lodges.
- Sleeping is restricted to the cabins. The number of occupants in each cabin shall not exceed the number of beds. Tents, canopies, or temporary screen structures are not permitted.
- Clean-up. Guests are responsible for cleaning up the cabin interior and exterior prior to departure. Check-out instructions will be posted inside each cabin.
- Cellular service: Cell service may be limited or not available depending on your provider. Cellular towers in the park are serviced by Verizon and AT&T.
