McCoy's Ferry Campground offers a beautiful and clean camping experience with scenic views of the river and access to hiking and biking trails along the C&O Canal. Campers appreciate the well-maintained facilities, including clean port-a-potties, and the peaceful atmosphere, although some note occasional noise from passing trains and powerboats. Overall, it's a great spot for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a relaxing getaway.

Picture looks nice but this spot has no caretaker in October and without another camper in sight I made the decision to leave. Just has this creepy vibe. I would try it if I wasn't alone. Maybe with several bodyguards. Also signage into the campground is lacking.

Needs better (larger ? more?) signage at camping entrance re "Registered Campers Only". Unnerving - the amount of cars that drive to end and turn around and leave. Causes safety concerns.
This said - grateful the use of this beautiful campground.
Our national parks need funding.
