We had an amazing time camping here for the weekend! With the water right there, the boys had a blast swimming, fishing, and kayaking. It’s a nice, quiet place to stay, and you can drive right in. Verizon shows 2–3 bars of service, but it barely works—so plan on being mostly unplugged.

The location is pretty and they have a very nice hiking trail. However, we did not realize that there are very loud trains that pass through on both sides of the Potomac into the night, so you can't get decent sleep.

The experience on site is excellent. The site is beautiful and very clean. However, the train that passed twice during the night was rather loud! Be aware!

Enjoyed the C&O trail nearby for biking. Campsites seemed more spacious than a typical campground.
