What Guests Are Saying
Gleason's Landing is a beautiful and serene campground, ideal for families and groups, with well-maintained facilities and a lovely riverfront location. While there were some issues, such as noise from the rental company and the removal of a hand pump well, overall, guests appreciated the spacious tent sites and convenient access for activities like kayaking. Visitors are advised to bring their own water and note that the contact number provided is outdated.

Gleason's Landing was absolutely beautiful, serene, and well kept. We camped with our three small kids and look forward to doing so again!

it was a nice area, beautiful place by the river with decent fishing. the only problem is the boat/tube rental company, they make noise the whole time you are there.

We had a group that was on a multi day canoe trip without access to vehicles and the biggest problem was when we arrived there we were counting on the fact that there has always been for decades a hand pump well for fresh water and it was still listed on the site as being available but it has since been removed. Other than that it's my favorite campground I've been going there since I was a child for 40 years.

It provided all that we needed. Ensure you bring your own water, and know that you have to park and hike to your site.

Lovely site! It's well set up for a group, with a lot of flat tent spots, a large fire pit, and 2 picnic tables. A nice little path to the river. Lots of mosquitos, but that's to be expected by a river in a Michigan summer.

Great spot as always, the area is well-maintained. The only thing that needs improvement is that the phone number provided DOES NOT WORK--and hasn't for at least 2 years. When you call, the line rings but eventually gives a message that "this is not a valid number". There is absolutely no way to contact anyone who has any affiliation with the campsite for any reason, this is unacceptable.

Great site to stay at if you are kayaking the river like we did. It was great to have our camp all set up and were able to get off the river right at our campsite.

Our site was nice, good space and right next to the river. The pit toilets weren't great, but hey it's a pit toilet. Our evening was lovely, but in the morning someone started mowing grass around 7:30 am and woke us up. He got very close to us and blew dust and debris into our site. Then an older women with a clipboard, I would hope a camp host, waltzed through our site without introducing herself.
Perfectly fine campground, but will not being staying there again due to the weird vibes.
