Beautiful site but there isn't any drinking water available, contrary to what is posted on the recreation.gov website for Gleeson's Landing.

Great low key camping spot. Lots of fishing along the trail along the river. No water but two great vault toilets to use. 100% worth it to carry your stuff in!

it was a nice area, beautiful place by the river with decent fishing. the only problem is the boat/tube rental company, they make noise the whole time you are there.

We had a group that was on a multi day canoe trip without access to vehicles and the biggest problem was when we arrived there we were counting on the fact that there has always been for decades a hand pump well for fresh water and it was still listed on the site as being available but it has since been removed. Other than that it's my favorite campground I've been going there since I was a child for 40 years.

It provided all that we needed. Ensure you bring your own water, and know that you have to park and hike to your site.

Lovely site! It's well set up for a group, with a lot of flat tent spots, a large fire pit, and 2 picnic tables. A nice little path to the river. Lots of mosquitos, but that's to be expected by a river in a Michigan summer.

Great spot as always, the area is well-maintained. The only thing that needs improvement is that the phone number provided DOES NOT WORK--and hasn't for at least 2 years. When you call, the line rings but eventually gives a message that "this is not a valid number". There is absolutely no way to contact anyone who has any affiliation with the campsite for any reason, this is unacceptable.

Drive 0.4 mi and turn right on Shortcut Road and drive 0.7 mi. Turn right at T junction onto 60th Street and take the first left at S Brooks Road. Follow the road to the campground.
Highway access
Gleasons Landing is accessible via M-37, which is approximately 12 miles to the east of Baldwin. There is no direct access from major interstates or freeways within 25 miles.

- This campground has first-come, first-served sites
- Limit 2 vehicles per campsite; a fee will be charged for additional vehicles
- Limit 8 campers per campsite

- Don't move firewood: To limit the spread of invasive tree-killing pests, firewood from outside the area is not permitted. Some states have quarantines and may confiscate your firewood. - This is strictly 'pitch a tent' camping. You park and carry your gear (including your tent) to the site. Tent trailers will not work here.
- Any accepted senior passes must be entered for the discount at the time of booking for single sites only.
- Check out the forest's campground description for specific information to Fish Your National Forest
- It is imperative that you are clear from the site on your check out day so the host can come prepare the site for the next event. Please don't be the group that makes the incoming group have to wait.
