When you arrive at the park, be sure to stay to the right of the yellow lines, you'd be surprised how many people go the wrong way around the loop. The Ranger/Host office is a little bit into the park, just past the restrooms and firewood shack. If Dave is the Host, he is top notch helpful, friendly and informative. He doesn't bend the rules, so don't try him. He is fair and true and very much concerned about your well being and good times at the park.
The swimming area is great! The lakeshore trails are a very pretty walk. The bike riding is nice and there is a trail access across from the main entrance. Camp sites are large and for the most part, fairly private. Take jugs for water, faucets are placed at good intervals for carrying water back to camp. They keep the restroom and shower facilities clean, they could use some updating, but they are clean.

One of the best campgrounds of its kind in the state. Large campsites, peaceful setting, and a great campground host. We go frequently every summer. The bathrooms with proper flush toilets and a shower is also great!

We enjoyed the facilities. The kids loved the lake and there is a good hiking trail (North Country Trail) going past the campground for those that want hiking options.
