What Guests Are Saying

Gleason's Landing is a beautiful and serene camping spot with great fishing opportunities along the river, making it a favorite for many visitors. However, it's important to note that there is no drinking water available, contrary to the online description, so guests should bring their own. The site is well maintained, with good facilities, including vault toilets, and is accessible only by hiking in.

I went here in August. It's a beautiful area on a river without too much traffic. The trouble was mosquitoes descended upon me in a terrifying manner and 99% deet bug repellent only deterred the weakest of them. I ended up leaving early. This could have just been a seasonal thing, or due to weather leading up to my time there. In any case, bring a screened canopy if you choose to stay here. That or just be tougher than I.

The campground is amazing, but I was swarmed by hundreds of mosquitos nonstop from the moment I got out of my truck. I set up my tent and fished for about 45 minutes, but couldn’t take the constant attacks, so I sought refuge in my truck, then ran to my tent and quickly stripped off my waders and contemplated for about an hour before packing up and leaving. In all, I was at Gleason’s for 6 hours after a 6 hour drive. Again, the campground and river are incredible, but the mosquitos drove me crazy.

I love this campground. Bathrooms are kinda icky but it's small and spread out, and there is a small beach by the river to drag the kayaks out on or to just wade around. It's a walk in so super quiet which is a must for tent camping. Nothing like the lovely sound of an RV generator to ruin a morning, lol. Lovely place if you like to feel like you hiked in but don't really want to deal with dragging all your stuff around :P.

Absolutely beautiful area surrounded by the river. Huge campsites with plenty of space, picnic table and fire pit. We were able to gather plenty of firewood from the woods. Great launching point for kayaking.

Ron & his wife were very friendly! They keep the place in excellent condition, and with a vault toilet! It’s a beautiful place, spread out along the river and very private. The trails are great as well! We already have our next trip planned!
