River Ridge Family Campground offers a peaceful, scenic location with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for families, especially those who enjoy kayaking on the Pine River. While some cabins may feel small and have limited amenities, the campground provides a nice pool and a reasonably priced store and caf茅. (Update) Staff did address issues, and apologized, which was appreciated. I did notice staff making rounds and checking on sites the next day.
Not a great experience overall. Beautiful property. Staff was far less than helpful and enforced only some of the rules of the site. Teenagers riding electric bikes at 30 mph while my young daughter was almost hit by one of them. When brought to the staff鈥檚 attention, I was told that I signed a waiver and anything that happened onsite wasn鈥檛 their responsibility. They did not take any action to remedy. They also hosted a concert from a local rock band, which lasted until 10:15. This felt to me like a bad idea with how many young kids were onsite. Facilitates were not well maintained. Staff skimped on firewood that we paid full price for. Wouldn鈥檛 recommend for a quality family experience.

This is a wonderful campground. The sites on the river are beautiful, shady and grassy. The restrooms are clean. There are plenty of family oriented activities. The Pine River was great for kayaking trip offered by the park. We were here in late May. It was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely return.

Nice place, but let it be known the camp sites are as close together as the bathroom stalls, if you have little kids make sure you aren't getting a site where the ravine to the river is at, it's not blocked off and it could be a fatal fall, couldn't let little ones run around at the site and we still have a couple days left here, it says in the paperwork not to bring firewood but they don't give you notice if they don't have any and you are expected to go find some if you want a fire that night, it becomes an exception then but they don't warn you about it. Read the fine print because the inflatable in the pictures online is $5 an hour to touch. Know what you're getting into but it's a decent place. Depending on where your camp site is bring a potty chair or you may 馃挬 your pants trying to make it to the bathroom because the building with the bathrooms is a ways from some sites. And the bathroom is always as hot as outside. Enjoy.

The sites were clean, nice and large. Location was pretty but that was about it. The pool was green and closed. The inflatable slide supposedly not inflated enough so closed the 2nd day we were there. Store barely stocked. The guy running the kayak rental van to drop people off was nice. Office staff seemed clueless upon check in. No map, poor directions to site, no signs of what sites are what direction. For a "family" campground, they had no family activities... The 2 activities they had was trivia and then a movie. Both more geared towards adults. All the fun stuff was an Xtra expense. The lady in the office talked on the phone for 5+ mins while she had a line of people to check out. Not sure if go back. Pros and cons. Depends on what your looking for in a campground.

Stayed in one of their cabins. It was small for our family of 4 but your camping so it served the purpose. Only has one electrical outlet, could of used another. Twin mattresses were ok, double mattress was back breaking. Park was clean. Staff was very friendly. Cabin was right on the river. Very peaceful and the kids loved playing around in it. Pool was a nice addition. Inflatable was a little disappointing, could of used a way for kids to get on it since it is for 5 and older, my 7 year old could not get on. Store and caf茅 were reasonably priced.
Overall we had a great time and will be back again.
