What Guests Are Saying

Frankfort Crystal Lake RV Resort offers clean, level concrete sites in a quiet location, making it convenient for exploring Frankfort. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained facilities, including a clean bathhouse, laundry room, and the availability of fresh eggs and firewood. However, the park's gravel roads create dust, amenities are limited, and there are concerns about off-leash dogs, which detract from the overall experience.

This is a decent RV park, but calling it a “resort” sets expectations it doesn’t meet.

The positives first: the concrete sites are level, the park is clean and quiet, and it’s in a convenient location for exploring Frankfort and the surrounding area. If you’re looking for a simple place to park the RV while you explore, it does that well.

The downsides kept this from being a place we’d return. While the sites are concrete, all of the roads are gravel, which creates a surprising amount of dust whenever vehicles drive through.

Amenities are also pretty limited. There’s a clean bathhouse, a small playground, and four washing machines (one of which is broken). Oddly, the laundry can only be accessed through the women’s restroom, which seems like a very strange design choice.

Our biggest frustration was the lack of enforcement of the pet rules. During nearly every walk with our dog, we encountered one or two different off-leash dogs that ran up to her. Thankfully nothing bad happened, but it made every walk stressful and is something management really should address.

Overall, this is a clean, quiet RV park with good sites and a great location. If it were marketed as an RV park, I’d probably rate it higher. As a “resort,” though, it falls well short of what the name suggests, and because of the repeated off-leash dog issues, we wouldn’t stay here again.

This campground appears to be brand new. The sites are all concrete with a small section of brick pavers. The sites are nice and level - super easy to set up. They have a nice building with laundry facilities and individual shower rooms. Very easy to get in and out (36 ft Class A). The water pressure was great and each site has a small fire ring. The main roads are not paved (all packed gravel). They sell fresh eggs (pic attached) and fire wood. No General store yet - they said it was in the works.

Excellent location, excellently maintained and clean, clean bathrooms, friendly hosts!! They said we could have the eggs and veggies when available! Cuz they have Coop DeVille with chickens! I love the paved spaces and it makes it so much more cleaner and easier to set up the RV. Very roomy spaces too! Excellent park. Hope to be back soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at this park. It was very clean, and well kept. We loved the free range chickens. Steve was an absolute pleasure to deal with and speak to. The location can’t be beat, you can even walk to A&W! We will be back in the next couple of seasons to stay again. Keep up the great work guys!
