My children and I have camped, at D.H. Day, every year but one, for the past 13 years. These kids of mine are now spoiled and convince every other campground to this one. The bathrooms are amazingly clean and neve ever smell! The layout of the sites is perfect and other places should take notes. Love the walk and the boardwalk to Lake Michigan, that makes this campground truly unique and special. We will be there, again, this summer, for two weeks and we just can't wait! Thank you for the best camping experience year after year!

Our spot was BEAUTIFUL. Big trees provided privacy, easy to get into town, all the little extras we needed were available at the camp shop. We loved riding our bikes around and fishing at the beach. We even had a owl show up every morning to watch us make breakfast. Would 100% stay here again.

Our family has enjoyed DH Day for multiple generations, going back to its inception. We all still visit here annually.

I and my family have been camping at DH Day for over 20 years and am so pleased this amazing park is in my home state. I used to sleep overnight in my car in order to get a site bc we loved the place so much. I'm sad to say it's no longer our favorite bc in recent years we've found the park to be excessively noisy. Whether it's people playing music on the beach where we used to quietly enjoy the stars over the lake or the running of generators or the constant slamming of car doors at all hours, it's come to feel like we no longer fit here. I sure wish there were preserves for people in the country/state who especially cherish listening to nature. We do backpacking but quiet base camping options might also be highly popular.

My favorite campground. Quiet, rustic, scenic.

The campsite was very clean and the location was perfect. A few hundred yards down a manicured path to get to the beaches of Lake Michigan. Was a five minute drive to Glen Arbor if you wanted to grab food and drink outside the campsite. Had onsite wood for purchase through a wood vending machine.
This was not rustic camping, and the lots were fairly close, but was a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

Poison Ivy. Poison Ivy is abundant at the campground and throughout the lakeshore. Tent pads and campsite driveways are kept clear of poison ivy. However there may be poison ivy lining the boundary of the campsite.
