Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Grayling

This was the best vacation!! The activities are fun! Like going to a glow party rave with Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy! How fun! the staff were great! I watched them handle a few grumpy people and they did it very professionally. I was impressed. and everything was clean. Bathrooms were cleaned like at least 3x a day from what I saw. Definitely will be back! Loved everything about it. My kids had a blast and they were worn out every night.

First time at this campground. Pulled into site #5 and two different people told us right away it was the worst site and now we know why. The site has two giant trees that stand on the left side of our camper, so our slide out opened up between them, which is no problem but the problems follow. Because of these trees, we couldn't park far enough over to reach the full hookup that was over 20 feet from our camper so we couldn't use that (and we paid for full hook up). Our camper is 26 ft and the bumper was literally backed up to the fire pit, so couldn't use that either. We had no room to even park our truck. The gentleman on the next site let us park on his because he had this site before and knew how it was. We had no hang out room because site #4 was so close to us, which gave them enough room to park their vehicle. So I went to the office and first asked if they could just change our rate to electric/water since we couldn't use the sewer and she said no because there were other sites available. Well we were camping with others so we weren't going to move away from our group. The campground itself is great. Lots of activities, things to do, playground, putt putt, etc. But I think it was rude to not help us out or work with us knowing others have experienced the same. Site #5 is made for tents or small campers, not a bumper pull over 20 feet.

My family and i stayed here for the 4th of July in our own camper so I can not speak on their "rooms." However, we rented a golf kart for a day. We went up to the gift shop to get it. We stood around for over 25 mins with the golf cart sitting out front while staff discussed their broken down golf carts. Finally the one out of only two adults seen the entire time we were there spoke up to one of the teenagers and said "well if there is one up here why are they still waiting, take them out and show them." The place is run by teenagers. In fact we ordered a slushie and the one teenager girl went to lick the side of our cup an stopped herself when she realized we were standing right their watching. Any of the activities expect for them to announce a 15 min warning before activities start but expect to wait at least 30 after that for them to figure out what to actually do. The "wet and wild" hay ride wasnt even wet. They never told campers upon check in that the campsites are responsible for wetting people when they ride by so that was disappointing to our children. They have no organization when it comes to the bears. They hardly make an appearance unless its in their little garages with tons of kids swarming and beating on the door with no parental supervision. There are no rules about parents staying with kids or at least watching them. There was a girl no older than 14 in the bathroom multiple times with a young boy who was also camping. They walked by our campsite at 11:30 at night talking about doing sexual things in the bathroom together. Needless to say we will try a different jellystone next time. One thing we did like is they come right to the campsite and pick your trash up throughout your stay. Also, be prepared to spend some money. Gift shop is definitely expensive!

I have been going here since I was a child about 21yrs ago. Core memory of smores/popcorn and watching cartoons outside in the summer. The staff really puts in alot of effort and care. Its nice to see the same staff year after year which means its not just a great place to camp but also work. The cabins are well maintained, restrooms are maintained well, staff is always waiving and offering assistance. This campground has been around a long time and established itself as the place to go for families. Watching my kids enjoy the same fun in the same exact place I did is priceless.

The bathrooms here are terrible! At any given time, there are several teenagers in the air conditioned camp store standing around. I stopped into the comfort station/bathroom near the playground at 8:30 in the morning and it was filthy. I assumed they hadn't gotten to it yet. I stopped again later that day at 5 in the afternoon and it was exactly the same. The same half eaten apple laying on the ground, same puddle of mud, same toilet paper in the same spots on the ground. I've never seen the bathrooms that bad. I called the camp store and asked how often then clean the bathrooms. The girl replied "Oh are they dirty? We'll try to find someone to clean them." My wife said in the women's bathroom the sinks look like they get wiped down and that's it. Showers are filthy, clumps of hair, mud everywhere,toilet paper strewn about etc. This used to be one of our favorite campgrounds and the teens do a good job with the activities, but the bathrooms need some serious attention. We stayed at mill creek before jellystone and the bathrooms were spotless and deep cleaned twice daily. I hope jellystone grayling starts ensuring their bathrooms are cleaned properly and train their employees to do a better job.
