Camp Deer Trails

We had a fantastic experience hosting our wedding weekend at Camp Deer Trails! The staff was wonderful—always helpful, quick to answer questions, and great at problem-solving during setup. The cabins were perfect for our wedding party to stay together on site, and the facilities gave us lots of flexibility for our own decoration ideas.
The grounds and amenities made it an amazing place for friends and family traveling from long distances to relax, play, and enjoy the whole weekend. Plus, there are plenty of Airbnb/VRBO options close by for extra lodging, which worked out really well.
We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate. Highly recommend Camp Deer Trails for a wedding or any big gathering!

We got married here last weekend and it was absolutely phenomenal! Such a beautiful location and everything we were looking for in a venue! Courtney is awesome and super helpful! The cabins were so nice and clean. It was the perfect weekend, definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue or just looking for a nice and peaceful place to stay!

Our experience at Camp Deer Trails was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the cabins felt absolutely perfect—warm, inviting, and ideal for an outdoorsy bride and groom like us. Throughout the weekend, our family and friends couldn’t stop complimenting the beautiful accommodations and the peaceful atmosphere of the grounds. It meant the world to us to offer our guests a place that was not only convenient, but truly stunning in every possible way. By the end of the weekend, every single person had become a lifelong fan of Camp Deer Trails, and they still talk about its beauty and tranquility to this day. The entire camp felt welcoming, exceptionally well kept, spacious, and genuinely homey—almost as if we were staying at a beloved family member’s lake house.

We chose the amphitheater in the woods for our ceremony, and to this day, we cannot imagine a more perfect place to say our vows. Standing there surrounded by the vibrant trees, our closest loved ones, and the nature that has always been part of our relationship felt surreal. We married in mid-October, and although the weather threw a little bit of everything at us, Camp Deer Trails went above and beyond to make sure everything was beautiful, safe, and exactly what we envisioned. On the morning of the wedding, the leaves had been perfectly raked and blown away—without us even asking—so the ceremony area looked pristine. Every small, thoughtful effort made by the team genuinely amazed us. And anytime we did reach out for help, we were met with so much enthusiasm and care. They were truly invested in making our day flawless.

The main lodge we used for our reception could not have been more perfect. It comfortably accommodated our 75 guests, with plenty of room for a buffet meal, dancing, and all the joy that filled the night. We loved the improvements and upgrades happening around the property, and the tables provided were absolutely beautiful. The entire camp was spotless, exactly as represented online, and clearly maintained with so much pride.

I cannot express enough gratitude to Courtney and the entire Camp Deer Trails team. They helped us create the wedding of our absolute dreams—one we will reminisce about forever. We still shed happy tears looking at photos that resemble the Pinterest board we once only imagined. And we already can’t wait to return for future camping trips and anniversaries.
Camp Deer Trails will always hold a piece of our hearts. The responsiveness, the exceptional service, the breathtaking property—everything far exceeded our hopes. To us, Camp Deer Trails will forever be the happiest place on earth.

For years now, it's been my habit to get away once or twice a year for a few days by myself, hopefully somewhere on the water. I take my kayak, all my food, and my journal. I write, I think, I plan for what's ahead, and I work on my business too.
This year, I realized really late (like the week before!) that I had a free couple of days, and I jumped at the opportunity to get away. While looking for the right spot, I stumbled upon this cutest little campground. It was quiet and had cabins right on the water. Thankfully, they had one available on such short notice, and I snapped that puppy up.
The cabin was spotlessly clean, and the shower pressure was perfect. I loved every bit of my stay and will 100% be back.

We took our 38' RV there for 4th of July weekend. Everything was just as they told us. Plenty of room easy to park and nice beach area. The reason why I gave only 4 stars is because it doesn't have sewer or water hook ups, BUT there is a dump station. I knew this. Otherwise everything else was great.
