We were here in early October and perhaps it was the time of year, but we found the campground to be the quietest we've ever visited (which was amazing). Despite there being quite a few campers, everyone was quiet and respectful and it was a very calm setting. We were in Loop 4, which we loved. The bathrooms were clean and functional, everything was well maintained. Personally I really liked the hilly terrain on the campsites themselves, it made for a more interesting landscape. We also loved the walk to Lake Michigan (although it wasn't as well marked as it could have been - we got lost on the first go).

Everything was very clean (bathrooms). The only thing that would make that experience better would be to have a bug zapper light somehow in the shower area (I understand the water risks, but there is a way to do it safely). There were probably 100 bugs in the shower every time I used it. Besides that, it was kept clean! The sites were also clean and perfect.

Beautiful campground. The sites are large with plenty of trees for shade and usually quite flat with a nice asphalt pad to park your rv on. The sites are also spread quite far apart (generally 30 -50 yards or more). The bathrooms were well kept and very nice.

This was a lovely campground. We were traveling with a 27' RV and wanted to stay close to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Despite the last minute trip, we were able to find available sites for each of the 3 nights we needed. The sites were 100% level which I've never experienced. It really saved on setup time, and showed how much the park cares about their tenants. The facilities were immaculate, every loop was peaceful and quiet, and the staff was very helpful with any questios I had about the surrounding area. I even purchased an annual US park pass here at the desk. Later in our trip we stayed at some private RV parks that were twice as expensive and 10% as enjoyable. I would come back here for two weeks next time, now that we know.

Nice campground, quiet, good facilities. Close to River Access. Beware of very narrow area to park vehicles, especially if bringing two vehicles in addition to camper. Site diagram focuses on tent pad size and not width of paved area, doesn't help for rv camper planning.
