McKeever Cabin offers a beautiful and clean retreat in a serene setting, ideal for fishing and exploring Hiawatha National Forest. Guests appreciate the cozy atmosphere, well-stocked firewood, and comfortable accommodations, making it a perfect spot to unplug. However, some visitors noted the inconvenience of having to park a distance away from the cabin and suggested clearer signage for easier access.
This was a great weekend at McKeever cabin. Got to explore more of the Hiawatha National Forest and go fishing on McKeever llake with my new inflatable boat and my beagles. Early May was still cold so I got to try out the wood stove to stay warm and prepare a meal on the stove.
The cabin was very comfortable and all our immediate needs were provided for. The area around the cabin is very secluded and scenic, with trails nearby for hiking or bike riding. Pictured Rocks National Park is within a 30 minute drive.
