The site was really close to Lake Superior and you could hear the waves lapping the shore from our tent. Everything was clean. Would definitely stay at this campground again.

Twelvemile Beach Campground offers stunning views of Lake Superior and spacious, well-maintained campsites, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Campground hosts are friendly and helpful, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment. However, challenges with the reservation system and occasional mosquito swarms have been noted by guests, highlighting the need for preparation regarding bug protection and awareness of site availability.

Clean, welcoming hosts, courteous neighbors, beautiful landscape and so much to do in the area. This particular site was great because it was tucked away a bit and backed up to the woods. Good if u want more privacy.

Sites are large and although the park was nearly full, all was quiet. The beach and night view of the sky left me speechless.

The camping area and beach access are amazing. We had the opportunity to see an incredible sky view, as we never had seen before, a real stargazing experience.

Such an amazing campground and campsite! We stayed in our tent and although this side of the campground allows generators only one person had one and only used it in the morning for a short bit. Lake Superior is right along the campground. This site is not on the Lake Superior side but you can still see and hear the lake from this campsite. Grab this site if you can!

Campground is always great. Far away from everything, but right above the water. Site 25 was adequate. Little close to the bathroom, so we could smell if there was no wind. First day we got there the wind was so bad it took 3 people to set up each tent because everything was blowing. 25 was a bit more exposed to the wind over other sites. Stairs were out when we were there. No bugs.

I loved my stay at Twelvemile! The views were breathtaking, everyone was so friendly, hosts Lisa and Ray were welcoming and had great advice for what to do in the area. I’ll definitely be back!

We love Twelvemile Beach Campground. We are regular campers in August for many years. There is nothing more beautiful than that blue water, blue sky and bright sun. It is rustic car camping but it suits us just fine.
