Twelvemile Beach Campground offers stunning views of Lake Superior and spacious, well-maintained campsites, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Campground hosts are friendly and helpful, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment. However, challenges with the reservation system and occasional mosquito swarms have been noted by guests, highlighting the need for preparation regarding bug protection and awareness of site availability.

We had fantastic time at the Twelve-mile beach campground. We stayed for one week and then again another week later next month. July-August 2020. The campground is right on the lake Superior, there were couple windy days, couple days with black flies, but we also had divine days with sunshine and warm water for kids to swim and enjoy the beach. The campsites are really beautiful and there are hiking trails starting from the campground. The beach, the lake and the sunsets are unforgettable. We were sorry to leave. We are Thankful for this opportunity to get away from it all especially in the time of the pandemic. Take warm hoodies and waterproof jackets. there is water on the campground you just need water containers. We will be back!

Best location. Beautiful sunsets. Amazing stargazing. Perfect water and beach. Had beach approximately 47 ft from out tent. But still you have good tree cover. Best place to set up hammock. Easily accessible. Safely Distance campsites. Would recommend to have atleast 3 day camping.

Our host Ray was very hospitable and offered any help that we may need.
Great to have the reservation system first come first serve policy was chaotic.
On beautiful Lake Superior how could it be any better.

Super campground, and 37 is a great site. No flushable toilets or showers, though, so it's fairly primitive.
