Twelvemile Beach Campground offers stunning views of Lake Superior and spacious, well-maintained campsites, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Campground hosts are friendly and helpful, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment. However, challenges with the reservation system and occasional mosquito swarms have been noted by guests, highlighting the need for preparation regarding bug protection and awareness of site availability.

Wonderful weather. Campsite #15 was beautiful but windy. The "campground host" told us that for some reason site #14 and #15 were windy. Topography I suppose. The campground host was friendly and knowledgeable. The two mile hike within the campground was great. I think not many people take advantage of the trail.

Just a beautiful wild area with a lot of hiking options. Site overlooking Lake Superior whipped wild by the wind was way cool

Paid for this site and couldn’t use bathrooms because they were all locked

Really nice campground with lots of trees. Very quiet as there were only half a dozen campers this time of year. Sort of strange, however on day 2 of our camp reservation a maintenance crew came in and closed the vault toilets. No warning or explanation. Can’t really understand why they need to that, there just pit toilets. What’s the risk?
