This campground had a beautiful view that you could just walk to and watch the sunset Over Lake Superior . Campground was also very clean and quiet.

Twelvemile Beach Campground offers stunning views of Lake Superior and spacious, well-maintained campsites, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Campground hosts are friendly and helpful, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment. However, challenges with the reservation system and occasional mosquito swarms have been noted by guests, highlighting the need for preparation regarding bug protection and awareness of site availability.

Good camping spot right on the Lake. It’s a bit of a drive from Minising but which adds to its seclusion. It’s centered in the park so that you can go north to see falls and lookouts and south too. I’ll be back there again this year to hike the N Country Trail which runs through the camp.

Had a great time at the campground. It was remote from all of the other towns in the area. The campsites were separated enough that I couldn't really hear any of my neighbors, but I could hear the waves of Lake Superior.

Several nice camping sites but take everything you need as long drive to nearest town to get supplies.
It was cooler weather when we stayed. during summer there can be an aggressive biting fly when wind is from wrong direction, you can read about that at the pictured rocks website. That is same for the Lake Superior lakeshore . BUG spray don't help with that particular fly.
Beautiful site to really get away from the busy life we have. You can walk traile or on the beach for miles which is very relaxing for us.
Be aware this is bear country but bears tend to avoid you just read up on how to react and if your nervous you can carry a bear spray or weapon as long you can legally carry and posess one. Had no encounters with any.
On the down side generators are required to shut down too early. "quiet time". There is always someone who thinks they are the camp police in these campgrounds even when they are just campers. Jealous I guess. Anyway overall this can be a very nice place to camp. Primative restrooms.
