Twelvemile Beach Campground offers stunning views of Lake Superior and spacious, well-maintained campsites, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Campground hosts are friendly and helpful, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment. However, challenges with the reservation system and occasional mosquito swarms have been noted by guests, highlighting the need for preparation regarding bug protection and awareness of site availability.

You must have reservations in advance & there is no way to make them while at the park. It is disappointing that there are no sites left for spur of the moment travel.

Beautiful area to camp lots of outdoors things to do and see. But be sure you are prepared for any obstacles that may pop up...weather...trails...shelter. This is VERY serious country don't treat it with respect and caution.

Perfect stay at Twelvemile campground. Clean campsite with good amount of space between sites. Visited in October, nice quiet relaxing stay.

Very peaceful, the drive into the campground in the fall is like no other. Beach a couple feet away doesn’t get much better than that! There’s a trail that goes for a couple miles within the campground along the beach. Closest place for supplies is roughly 30 min away into town.
