Went in early June. Lots of mosquitos but other than that great quiet campsite. With great restrooms and access to water.

Twelvemile Beach Campground offers stunning views of Lake Superior and spacious, well-maintained campsites, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Campground hosts are friendly and helpful, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment. PRO Beautiful campground on bluff above lake Superior shoreline. Long sandy beach for walks. Amazing sunsets.
Good spacing between sites. Water and pit toilets on site.
CON Mosquitoes were very bad there the first week of June. Fine down on the beach but sites in the woods were really bad. Just plan for it with Deet spray, cloathing and maybe a bug net. Bugs were worst in late afternoon early evening.

Beautiful campground! We go once a year and it is always a wonderful time! The view of Lake Superior is breathtaking and falling asleep to the waves is so relaxing.

12 mi Beach is a beautiful campground and experience! We stayed there for a week around Memorial Day weekend. This week started with a few mosquitoes but ended with gazillions of them. Be prepared!

An absolutely gorgeous spacious setting. Each site had shade, forest, and views of Lake Superior. I will be back. I rank it a 9 out of 10 due to the lack of full bathroom and shower facilities. There were clean vault toilets though.
