Site 70 was good other than the steep long walk to the water and back up. Definitely not for the unfit like myself but the kids did fine.

Site 6 has always been awesome. Wonderful view, shade and full sun. Good area for swimming and a very large site. The only drawback is the amount of poison ivy on the site....I come home with poison ivy every year!

It’s a beautiful site. Unfortunately, the poison ivy has taken over most of the surrounding area. If not reduced, it risks making the site unusable. We enjoyed the sights & river access but still took home some poison ivy spots.

Site 86C is a large site, with great shade and easy access to the water. Rented a pontoon from Old Orchard Park campground which allowed us more flexibility on getting gear to site, as well as a fishing and entertainment platform.

Campsite was clean, easy water access and felt very secluded. The only issue, when we arrived there were a couple at the campsite we reserved. After going to the ranger station just to double check and make sure i had the right campsite, a ranger said they would send someone down to ask them to leave. We went to town to pick up some supplies and when we arrived back at the campsite the couple was still there. When I asked them to leave they packed up quickly and left, however, clearly a ranger did not come to ask them to leave.

The reservation site said "boat accessible" so I'm thinking I don't have to drag my kayak down a giant hill. Little did I know, it was only accessible by boat! Very misleading if you ask me. I did not use the site as I couldn't get to it. Would like a full refund, and hope you change the wording so the next guy doesn't get confused.

Site was great. Beautiful view and very large. However, campers before us left bags of tortilla chips scattered on the ground around the campsite, cigarette butts everywhere, and unburied human waste. I really wish that there was a way to report this. Other than that, a great experience.

There is not a lot of room for multiple tents. getting into the site a little steep. Boats have to stay in water

Designated campsites are spread along 55 miles of river shoreline between the AuSable River Access at 4001 Bridge (7 miles northwest of Glennie, MI) to near the Whirlpool AuSable River Access (4 miles west of Oscoda, MI).
