A wonderful boon docking site. There is no longer a water pump at the site.

Excellent campsite! It is an absolute steal for the $8 fee (+ $8 again for booking fee online). The site is huge!! The outhouse was clean and even had toilet paper still. The picnic table looked very new and was large and accessible (space at the end for a wheelchair). It would be helpful to have a sign indicating the site, because you could easily drive past it otherwise. I used my phone's navigation and had no trouble finding it though. The area was extremely quiet and because the entrance loops a bit off the main road it was very private as well. Thank you to the previous camper(s) who kindly left some stacked firewood/kindling. It had been raining the whole day that I arrived so that was a pleasant surprise. The pictures online don't do the site justice. You can't go wrong booking the Camp Cook campsite!

Area was alot bigger than anticipated, and it had an outhouse for you to take care of business. Haha.

Nice quiet spot . Needs the Water hand pump reinstalled. They took it out but it was used by other people as well as the site campers.

No one has camped here in months. Dark and creepy.

We really enjoyed our time at this campsite because it was very secluded and a large area that we had to ourselves over the weekend. It is a very primitive campsite but the outhouse was better than I expected. I would recommend bringing a roll of toilet paper just in case though. The only issue we had is that the GPS location is not correct for the site and the site itself is not labeled. We were able to look at the written directions (which were listed as starting in a different direction than we were traveling) and the picture of the map in order to find the exact location of the site. Overall we enjoyed the solitude of the site!

I like this area because it is very secluded and now one brothers us while we are camping.
