What Guests Are Saying
Chicago Lake Campsites offers a beautiful setting with a lovely view of the lake and plenty of tree cover. The site is generally nice and quiet, though noise from nearby campers and a busy boat launch can be disruptive. Access to the bathroom may be challenging for those with mobility issues, and some maintenance issues, like road conditions and litter, were noted. Overall, visitors appreciate the natural beauty and often plan to return.

We stayed at site 2. Very nice! Our only issue was lack of signage to the site. Will stay again.

Nice site, clean for the most part, but the cooking grate was busted and no picnic table to be seen. Definitely bring your big spray though, I didn't bring any since the high temp was supposed to be in the 50s, but that was a mistake that required a trip to town after about 30 seconds out of the vehicle. Even 98% deet didn't quite do the job. I recommend bringing your bee keeping suits, not even exaggerating, they are THAT thick. If you don't come equipped to AGGRESSIVELY combat the mosquitos they will most likely make your trip absolutely miserable. Nice view, not as private as I hoped, but definitely a nice spot.

Site was a little difficult to locate (had to ask other campers for directional assistance), but once we got there it was a beautiful, secluded site with a sandy beach access to the lake.

Chicago lake campsites are perfect as they are ...rumor is your changing them to limit amount of campers per site...as we use this site for family event limiting them would be greatly impacting our event

Campsites are very different from each other. Do not use site closest to boat landing.
