Lake Michigan at St. Ignace offers a beautiful campground with clean facilities and large sites, providing excellent access to the beach and stunning sunset views. While road noise from the nearby highway can be disruptive, especially during the day, it tends to quiet down at night. Wonderful place to stay.found this Gem many years ago before you had to reserve .. when you could just pull in any time and get a nice site. Still is beautiful. To bad it's so busy.

An absolutely lovely camping experience. It's right on the lake, which makes it really wonderful during the summer months. It's a very short drive to St. Ignace, which we took to both golf, eat, and shop. I will say, though, that they need to remeasure their sites to update the reservation website. We reserved what we thought was a 40 foot site, only to find out that it was only 20 feet! We managed to cram our camper in at an angle, and park the truck further down the road, but, could have easily been a MAJOR problem. Camp host said "yeah, they have some of those wrong". But, well worth the time camping there. Large sand dune between us and the lake, but, easy walk. Not impressed with many of the sites near the road, as the highway is literally right next door. Road noise and headlights were a problem for folks on that side. But, the Lake side? Magnificent spots. Camp ground very clean and well kept. No electrical sites nor shower facilities (you have to travel some miles for that), but, worked out okay for a short stay. My opinion is that you should have some electrical sites in all camp grounds, though, so, biased. This campground is well worth the stay for a couple of days.

Had a good time. A little more rustic than we thought, however a good stay

Second visit to this site. The Hwy was closed in the vicinity due to bridge repair, so very quiet. Even with the road it's still not too bad. We love the lake and the views. The weather was cool (early Sept.) but we still were able to get a little sun nestled in the dunes and facing southwest. The facilities were well taken care of (clean). Not many other campers. I'm sure we will visit again. Stay on the lake side if you can.

Beautiful location. Semi-boondocking with no hook-ups so not for everyone.

Very smooth and simple reservation process. Couldn’t have been happier with the campground. All the benefits of camping in the woods while also right on the doorstep of our own private beach. I’m not one to visit the same place twice, but I could definitely see coming back.

We love having direct access to the beach, great putting our hammocks on top of the dune.
Bathrooms are usually ok, not bad for pit toilets. Would be great if the Brevort Lake campground had showers we could use (but they don't).
Hosts keep the place pretty clean, not much litter at our site or on the road. Firewood for sale by the host usually well stocked, average price.
