Coolwater Campground

Great rustic campground, stayed at site 102 on 9-1 thru 9-3, nice showers and washroom. Good shade on corner tree surrounded lot. Great spot if you want to be on the Pine or hike in the area. June 26, 2020 stayed again on lot 102 for 2 nights. Great place!

It’s a lovely place to enjoy the camping season. It’s very close to Cadillac and Manistee. Facilities are clean and neat including a playing ground for kids, a basketball hoop, and a volleyball court. In addition, decent bathrooms with hot showers. Last but not least, very cooperative management, especially David is helpful.

We love visiting coolwaters on the pine. The owners are so welcoming the grounds are kept clean, bathrooms functional and sparkling, the trail to the river makes it the perfect spot to stop and visit your campsite during a river paddle. The photo is from just around the corner overlooking Peterson Bridge. Ps dont forget your line river hoodies and tee from the gift shop they have the sweetest design.

Dave, Angelica and Silvia were very friendly hosts. The cabin was very nice and clean with mini fridge, microwave and a small heater since we had visited in cooler weather. The mattress was great and we slept well. The park itself was immaculate and well maintained. Facilities were clean and in good working condition and the little store in the campground appeared well stocked. The campground is located just aside the national park and the Pine River is just a short walk and down some steps to reach. Overall we had a wonderful stay @ this campground and plan to return for more enjoyable times.

I’ve been camping here for over 35 years. We started as a small canoe group which is grown into a yearly event for over 35 wonderful years ! We spend a year planning how to make it better than next year. This campground is gorgeous and well maintained and right in the Manistee national Forest! For many of us, it is Majic! Great place to escape!!
