Can’t express enough how great our experience was. Everything was beautiful, and we’re blessed to have found this gem of a campsite. The highlight of our trip was meeting Dennis the campground manager. Dennis was very kind to us, and truly made our experience that much better. Very helpful and good man. We can’t wait to go back.

Well shaded sites right next to the river or a short walk to it. Not a ton of sites, so not a ton of people to deal with. Stayed fairly quiet when we were there in June.

Came here to drive up to sleeping bear dunes (scenic 1 hour drive, so not too hateful) and canoed Pine River with Pine River Paddle Sports, which is basically just across the street! They offer a shuttle or just let you rent the boat and take it with you for the day (or more). I wish there was showers, but bathing in Lake Michigan with some biodegradable soap or using the sink in the bathroom to freshen up are two pretty ok options.

Tent camp site # 9. Large site. I could have parked 2 cars and put my 10 x 10 tent on just the asphalt pad. Site was well maintained with plenty of dirt space for tent, screen tent, assorted chairs and such. Space to put a hammock as well. Bathroom was clean (no shower though - only negative). There are also lots of vault toilets' that I did not use. Camp host was GREAT. He watches the campground to greet all people, tells all the rules, how to maintain clean water in the campground, answers questions, tells you where you can go to get a shower, tells people who are not supposed to be there to leave. Only reason not 5 stars is no showers onsite. Would I camp here again. YES.

This is a beautiful setting, where relaxing and enjoying the peaceful sounds of the river washed away all the anxiety one may have! Next time I will definitely bring the kayaks!

Very clean campground, probably the cleanest we've ever stayed at. This is due to the most attentive host that we have ever encountered, Dennis went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. The only reason that I only gave the campground a "good" rating is because of the noise as traffic crossed the bridge. Other than that it was a wonderful experience.

THe host was great. Grounds and flush toilets were spotless. The river was a little on the cold side.
