Tippy Dam Campground and Cabins

Had a fantastic weekend Steelhead fishing here. The owners are amazing, some of the kindest folks I've ever met.

The location is perfect, about a 10 minute walk from the Dam. Right next to tons of seasonal roads for more secluded fishing spots too.

The cabins are great and there were some spots for tents and campers too.

Can't wait to come back again, thank you for having us!

Amazing location to the tippy dam!! My fiance and i stayed here for a night during the winter! The site we stayed at was plowed enough for us to get in! The owners were extremely accommodating i booked it last minute and they were awesome! Very kind people. Will stay here when i come back😀

Reasonably priced and quiet in the off season. The sites were very large which was nice so you're not right on top of your neighbor. There is a pottable water station which is nice. There is also a fish cleaning station with a hose, tables, and drain. Also looked like it had a dump station.

We had a weird issue as did some others that Verizon customers were not able to call the phone number. I also had recieved no responses from either the email or Facebook messenger when I had been trying to contact them about something before the trip. It was a bit confusing when we got there because the office was closed all week so we just had to kind of set up since we couldn't call. But I saw the camp host drives around and checks on things. I was able to go knock on his door since I saw he lives there and we needed help with the 20A being out. They've started adding electric to more sites, and he recently added electric to the cabins even though the website states there isn't. The store was open as we were leaving so I got to take a look around. They have some gently used fishing gear and some new. Snacks, a few camping essentials if you missed some stuff. They have ice, firewood, and fish storage for a small fee. The camp host says the office is open more during the salmon season, which is September and October typically.

The only real complaint we had was with the restrooms. Someone was cleaning the sink and toilet, but the paper towel and soap were not being stocked and were out all week. I did mention it to the camp host when we were chatting at checkout. The only other complaint with it is there is only one toilet in the bathhouse, and it places your knees like an inch (I'm 5'9") from the wall despite being a very large stall. I can imagine for taller folks it being an issue. I think it would be great for a lot of people especially those who are tall or with mobility problems if the toilet could be turned to face the other way. There are two outhouses, but they were significantly lower to the ground than the vault toilets in the state and national parks. There was a handbar put in those to help with standing back up though which was nice. That was the singular reason that my husband doesnt want to come back to the campground is because he had a really hard time using the toilet between the bathhouse one being unable to really sit on and the outhouse ones being so low (and cold metal ones). I didnt mind it, but I think if it was during the busy season, 3 toilets is not enough for so many people. It's something due to a medical issue I have to be concerned about a campground having. It's fine for off season. Overall, it sounds like the camp host is working to make improvements and upgrade sites, so hopefully there might be bathhouse updates down the road.

Nothing fancy, morning flashy but this is a solid family run campground. I highly suggest taking the rustic sites in the back seat from traffic. This time we started at 16r. Very quiet and plenty of space to do our thing.

Sites have basic stuff, fire ring and picnic table. Shower rooms are REALLY BAD, I mean BAD. Dirty, full of bugs and cob webs, other people's wet gear, and the smell, oh don't forget about the smell.
Also they charge for everything, I mean everything. Need to use the freezer to freeze your fresh catch! $5.00! Need to use cleaning table to clean your own fish! $5.00.
