Big Bend Park

Very poorly ran by a board that dose not care at all. So bad that the county had to investigate there very poorly cleaning practices. I am a seasonal here and have never stayed a so unclean campground. Meeting after meeting full of excuses and no change. The employees are very much micro managed by said board also. I am leaving 1/2 way thru season do to the unsafe , unclean , and no activities as I was sold with when I became a seasonal here. I offered to volunteer to help and was denied by this board . There is no security and the board members dont even help when they are made aware of issues. The expect campers to report others and yet dont follow through to stop anything. There are no activities for kids at all either.
To sum it all up as best as I can , camp at own risk and hope it gets better soon. It has been 2 plus months and an investigation with no real change yet. I asked for a partial refund and well no answer yet at about week now. lol This dose not reflect on the employees here . They do the best they can under the watchful eyes of the board members.

This was our first time camping here. And WOW! It's absolutely beautiful here. Shoutout to Jake for helping us find the perfect spot for our tent. He went above and beyond for us by recommending which one would be good and we couldn't have been happier. He also helped us with all the questions we had when we checked out and with our next reservation, because we are definitely coming back. :) the campground as well as the bathrooms and showers are very well maintained and clean. There is tons of stuff to do for kids. We can only recommend this place!

Love camping here! Great people, beautiful view, and water access! Rates are reasonable and they have plenty of shade. Only thing that would make it a 6 star is with waste hook up but the sights do have power and water. Nothing like a sunrise view from the bench at the point!

We started staying at this campground in 2020.
We just camped here over Memorial Day weekend 2023 and what a view we had at lot #78!!
Overlooking the Muskegon river! There were activities for kids all weekend and a nice park ranger driving thru frequently over the weekend.
Bathrooms were ok, but cleaned everday. Nice staff at entrance! Worms were yucky but not as bad as 3 years ago. They have sprayed since.
Roads were very dusty!
Nice neighbors and atmosphere was family friendly. The park was queit at 10pm and alive around 9am.
Will definitely stay again!

Love this place. Been coming here for decades.Always nice time up here. Have to get up here more often in the summer. Love the new little cabins they built to rent out. For $40 a night it is a great deal
