PROS:
Perfect little campground for someone like myself that has small partially feral children. You know the ones that love the outdoors more than youtube, or minecrap. It's got everything one would need, with a picnic table, nice fire pit/ cook grate, bathrooms and water close enough, but far enough to make something up to create some core memories! Weather good or bad that's totally on you! I have provided both myself. The hosts are great, friendly, and vigilant. The nature and wildlife is awesome. Lastly though I saved the beautiful clean and clear ann lake beach shirt distance from camp ground weather hike or drive. Your feral kids will love it! The thousands of tame sunfish, white sand, CRYSTAL CLEAR water, and the walk to and steps to the lake are like something out of a fairytale! Go during peak berry season and the raspberry bushes that are everywhere before the stairway to beach should sure please the kids as well!
CONS:
I only gave 4 because of the condition the roads were in. I'm not saying because they are gravel...I mean it's camping right? However, some of these pot holes and bumps have been deeper and more extreme than the poetry I wrote in high school! You have been warned!

Clean semi private sites. Each has a picnic table and fire ring with a movable cooking grate. I saw 3 clean bathrooms and 3 wells for drinking water along the camp road.
Camping hosts were friendly and answered all my questions. They rode by on bikes a few times a day.
Lots of trails to explore. If you take the right forks, its a half mile hike to a nice beach.
Lots of stars at night. Felt like I was way up north though didn't have to drive for hours to get here. I saw wild turkeys, deer, and lots of other birds and little critters.
I will definitely camp here again.

I drove through in our truck to see if we wanted to come back with our off-road-capable fifth-wheel; we did not return.
The DNR road leading to the campground has some clearance issues for a tall RV, but minor trimming would resolve it. Once past the campground signage an in the actual campground clearance was a MAJOR issue for tall rigs. The sites themselves were beautifully maintained and in a lovely setting and some of the sites would accommodate a large rig, so it was disappointing that clearance hasn't been maintained.
Note: the potholes are crazy-deep, so go slow and watch where you're driving.

Camp hosts do an excellent job here. Very clean and orderly. This is second year in a row both times not a speck of garbage in our site. They are also very friendly and accommodating.

Had a really nice time van camping here. We had site 19, which offered lots of space and privacy. All the sites seem to be spaced apart well, but some sites have less tree coverage than others, leaving them more exposed and they definitely vary in ground space and distance from the road. There are several walk-in sites available too. Potable water is available, and the vault toilets are well maintained. We saw the camp hosts (James and Kelly, they were awesome!) bike through a few times and even heard them reminding folks that the generators need to be turned off by quite time (10pm-8am), which we appreciated. Road has some bumpy spots throughout, so be mindful. The beach was nice and sandy, but it is smaller. Fortunately, only about 4 other groups were there when we went and had plenty of space. We will definitely come back and highly recommend for those interested in a semi primitive camping experience!
