What Guests Are Saying

AJ Acres Campground offers a rustic, wooded experience with a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere and fun activities like karaoke. The sandy terrain helps keep bugs at bay, and the location is great for those who enjoy nature. However, the campground struggles with poorly marked sites, cleanliness issues, and some maintenance needs, which could detract from the overall experience for visitors.

Campsites were very poorly marked, very poorly defined. Loved all the trees. Plus side was all the sand and no grass, so there were no bugs, other than ants. But for a gated campground, it’s not what we were expecting. Couldn’t go to the beach because we had our dog. No privacy at all between sites. It was nice and quiet. Future trips? Probably not.

So much potential. But they allow seasonal campers to leave junk all over and it makes their whole campground look trashy. Why is there no rules on how people have to keep their campsites? Great location, nice staff, just too many junkie campers and campsites bringing this campground down. Basic clean up rules could make all the difference!

There was a lot of what seemed like people living around our spot. If they were just seasonal but seems like they have been there for quite a while. The lots weren’t numbered very well. We basically had to guess where we were supposed to be. It took us about a half hour to set up because there were so many trees around us and cut down trees not cut down to the ground. We have a 29ft fifth wheel and had to move so many times because otherwise our slide would hit a tree or our awning would hit. Couldn’t relax outside, there were so many ants on the ground that would bite and be all over you. There would be golf carts going fast on the roads and blowing dust all over. Campground says bathrooms are well kept, they were not. Showers are not very nice like they said they were. The water was cold and had to keep your had on the button to turn them on. All in all not very nice site. Was a tight turn to dump waste. Had to back out of the area.

This place is awesome! Only got to be here a couple days, but would love to stay longer. It is rustic, in the woods, sandy but shady spots, has a small lake and beach with boat rentals. Yes, it has a large permanent population, but also plenty of spaces for Campers. All were friendly. It just has a big family vibe!
