I didn't expect that in the middle of the woods there would be loud road noise. The campground was pretty loud too but I expect that's because of the Fourth of July weekend and people were partying. I would like to visit the campground again choose a site further from the road and go during the week when there are fewer people and I expect my experience would be very different.

We have stayed at Onegume campground many times. We like it there because you get the "out in the woods" experience, but have electric hook ups. We also like fishing from the piers in the area. The big sunfish & bass were really biting from the pier across the highway from the campground, when we were there this time.
The campground host is really nice, and keeps the toilets clean.

We love the campground and spacious sites. The vault toilets were clean and the campground is well kept. Our only complaint is the noise from the highway which is close to the campground.

We really like how roomy the sites are. We do a lot of fishing when we are there so really like the lake sites. But they are hard to reserve. Seems like they are always booked. Enjoy how quiet the campground is.

It's always so relaxing at Onegume. The sites are pretty private, you are able to pull your boat right up to your site if you are lucky enough to get a lake site.

Very nice campground we only stayed for one night, but it was very nice and the accommodations are excellent. Location is excellent. The only drawback was our cell phones did not work when we got to about 5 mi away from the location. In the long run, it’s probably not a bad thing to be temporarily isolated from the outside world. I’m sure we could’ve talked to the Camp host if we needed any kind of emergency help but everything went just great.
