What Guests Are Saying
Onegume Campground offers a beautiful and quiet setting with clean facilities and attentive hosts, making it a great place for camping and enjoying nature. Most sites provide a good level of privacy, and the campground is well-kept, with many visitors expressing their satisfaction with the overall experience. However, some campers have raised concerns about the reservation system, site accessibility, and the need for improved electrical service, suggesting these could enhance future visits.

Site 7 has 2 large trees, 1 on each side, that make backing into the site a challenge, as it is pretty narrow. Will probably not use this site a g ain.

All I can say it was a great stay!!! I've been going there since I was a year old and now I'm 23 and brought my 2 year old with!!!! Best campground in the Chippewa National Forest. I want to recommend fishing how to do's before going on the dock, I see people with the most ridiculous fishing set ups and I go down there with 23 years of experience and pull in keeper fish after keeper fish while people can barley pull in a tiny perch. I'd show people how to rig their stuff up to catch fish but nobody listens!!!!

We have been returning to this campground for 7 years now. There was a new host this year. We will probably give it one more go next year but this is what bothered us. The host riding around on a lawnmower at any given time of day, power tools, and DOGS!!! There was constant barking off in the distance like someone locked their pet in a camper and left for 3 days. Also, the people next to us had a dog that would yap from time to time. Which wasn't too bad. They left after one night then but then the next people that moved in had 2 dogs that would bark at anything that moved. It says wherever you made your reservation that dogs MUST BE WELL BEHAVED! Why didn't the host do something about this. Which leads me to the host riding around on a loud riding lawn mower. Back and forth and it woke me up twice. I understand quiet hours are 10-pm to 7am but that doesn't mean you should be obnoxious as soon as the clock rolls over 7am. Its a vacation. Its nice to sleep in a little. So back to the neighbors with the 2 dogs that bark at anything that moves. At exactly 7am they started running drills and hammers building something in their campsite... They did the night before as well. So annoying... On a positive note. The campground itself is really nice. Lots of coverage between sites. (except ours ironically which had a wide path mowed between the 2) they should let that grow in. Toilets are clean and don't stink. Drinking water is delicious. Nice dock. Good fishing, depending on the time of year.
