What Guests Are Saying
Winnie Dam Campground is a well-maintained and clean facility with spacious sites, friendly hosts, and excellent amenities such as clean bathrooms and hot showers. It is particularly popular among fishermen, who enjoy both the river and lake access. While some guests noted minor issues like electric surges and loose pets, the overall atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, making it an ideal base for exploration and relaxation.

Very nice campground! Bathrooms nice and clean.
Only downside is they are in dire need of new boards on tables or new tables.

Wonderful visit, thought it was strange that no camp host was there.

The sites are level and well spaced. The shower and bathroom facilities were clean and secure. The forest is beautiful and there is good access to the Mississippi River. Nearby Deer River has a good grocery store and all the basics. Grand Rapids, 35 miles away, is a larger regional center with good health care, restaurants, local shops and some national chains (which can be helpful sometimes).

Quiet, clean campgrounds with hot showers. No views from the campsites but you can hear the dam for a relaxing sleep.
