Removing the garbage and recycle cans from around the park is a terrible idea !

Beautiful location. Nice area to put in kayaks and boat launch. Nice campsites with lots of room and privacy. Unfortunately the mosquitoes were really bad so hard to be outdoors for long periods.

The campground and Leech Lake are very nice. You can even do laundry free in the laundry room. The COE dam is awesome too. What made our stay miserable are giant mosquitos that just won’t quit. We went to town and got bug bomber for our site. Even with bug repellant on us and the bomber we lasted about 2hrs max playing games on our patio. You don't go camping to hide inside!
Then we went to the beach in town which was lovely as well and got off blanket covered with tiny mosquitos. I took a photo of my car w hundred of mosquitos. They look like bullet holes. No thanks MN it was just too much and even as much as I love Sen. Amy Klobuchar, I cant see coming back.

Great campground, gorgeous wooded sites, shower room is top notch and so clean. Bring bikes for kids and adults, lots of paved roads to ride on and beautifulplayground. No swimming beach is the only neg I can see.
