The host Pat is Great and always very helpful . she has been there ever since we started going and she always makes sure everything is clean - safe and of comfortable for everyone. The volunteers do a great job and are always helpful. Even when the weather or fishing isn't the greatest the people always are.

Clean facilities, nice campground, Leech Lake nearly on site and many other lakes in close proximity. Bring what you need with you, shopping for other than minimal supplies is 30 to 40 miles away.

The host was very picky about where we had our screen tent. One could argue the classification of grass, dirt, gravel mixture. Of course we moved it to please the host. In my experience camping though, I find that most hosts are very particular, which doesn't make it a very enjoyable experience most times.

Wish you would spray for mosquitos, they were trying to suck the blood out of us. We got there after it had been raining, when we got into our spot and tried to level the first time I had to go so high on the levelers that the trailer pushed them into the ground. Almost lost my trailer when I tried to unhook, was able to correct and reposition and get set up. The staff and rangers were very nice, and helpful when our dog got loose and was running around for a couple of hours when we trying to leave on out last day. The grounds are great, not crowded, plenty of room, places to go for walks, and for the fisherman nice boat landing and a whole lot of lake to explore. In spite of my mishaps, I had a great time, was able to relax and unwind and enjoy.
