The campground is about half way up the Gunflint Trail, making it close to many hiking trails and also about a 30 minute drive into Grand Marais.

Beautiful clean campground on beautiful cFlour Lake! Campground and hiking trails dotted with huge white pines. Campsites are good size and far apart for privacy. Dumpster was FULL every day, but emptied every day due to high use. Put toilets a bit stinky, but that’s expected in late season and high use. We’ll be back!!

The camp ground exceeded our expectations. The sites were large and surrounded by trees, separated from the other sites.

I love this campsite - but I do want to point out that site #30 and site #2 are physically connected and are only separated by a rock in the middle of the site! This was confusing to me when I was looking at the pictures of the sites online - it looked like one big site with 2 picnic tables on it. When I arrived, there was already a family on site #2, leaving me zero privacy. I was able to switch to another site, but it would have been nice to know this before I picked #30. The staff at Golden Eagle Lodge are very friendly and helpful, and the campground is very well maintained! We have stayed at Flour Lake several times and will definitely go back!

The sites had privacy, which we appreciate. It's a lovely setting. We really enjoyed renting a pontoon boat for the day from the Golden Eagle Resort nearby. They are really nice folks to deal with.

Everything was perfect, one thing I would’ve changed was make the fire ban more obvious on the website, we didn’t know until we came there.
