Absolutely recommend. The nicest community park we've ever stayed at. $35 a night with 30/50 amp electric. The Cleanest and fanciest campground bathrooms we've ever been to. Two stalls and a huge shower. Playground, cornhole, basketball, ballfield, pavilion, Fishing, picnic table, fire pit, Nice trees, everything you could want. And surprisingly quiet, considering your bearing near their main drag.

There are four sites with no reservation and the others can be booked online at their community website. If you just come in, there is a box to drop your money in.

We Ambling and exploring our way from Minneapolis to Fargo and this was a really nice stop. Looking forward to seeing what the town has to offer for breakfast.

Very nice park with camping. Lots of green area and places for sports, kid activities. Located next to a dam right in the middle of the city of Melrose. Walking distance to Martinez (Mexican grocery store with little restaurant in the back), JDs Taphouse, beauty salon & spa, and coffee shop across the street. Walking west to Melrose Park and their little fishing pier. Sauk River Park camping area is next to the river with fishing areas. 15 Campsites with electric with water hookup, picnic table and campfire ring. Bathhouse with one nice shower in men and women’s. Dump site near entrance. Register and check in online. I believe they have some area in the park for camping first come first serve. Walking distance to Wobegon Trail.

We stayed at the rv campsite. Campsites are standard rv sites with water. Restrooms are immaculate with a shower for the campers. Playground is newer equipment and well maintained. Kids were kept busy by the multiple playgrounds and all the equipment. Also a disc golf course and baseball fields.

felt very safe here as a solo female traveler. i decided to stay for three nights instead of one because i loved the river so much! the bathrooms are cleaned every morning and the shower is nicer than what i have at home. the spots right on the river in the shade don’t have power outsets of water taps, but the ones in the sun do so that was a bit of a trade off.

This was a sweet place to visit! My family & I loved bird watching by the river. My son really liked the playground area. The bridge is a peaceful spot to enjoy. We also really liked the area underneath the big bridge as the sun was going down and reflecting on the water. There were plenty of grills and spots to park/camp it looked like as well.
