What Guests Are Saying

Woodsong RV Resort offers a welcoming environment for seasonal campers, with spacious, shaded lots and a strong sense of community fostered by friendly neighbors and organized activities. Many families appreciate the safety measures, such as a 5mph speed limit, which enhances their experience, especially for children. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with management's strictness and rising costs, indicating a decline in the resort's previous charm and community feel.

We are just finishing up our 6th year as seasonal campers and love it here. We can be as involved as we want to be or sit at our campfire and chill. Neighbors are very helpful and Tex and Rebecca keep things running smoothly and well kept. Lots are nice sized and shaded. Monthly activities are planned and new ideas can be tried. Family and friends can come up and stay in nightly sites. We also love making memories with our young grandchildren and appreciate the 5mph speed limit to keep them safe. This is our happy place!!

Woodsong RV Resort is a beautiful campground and RV Resort. We visited the resort at the end of the camping season in 2021 and decided to become seasonal campers for 2022 and never looked back. We are still seasonal residents and our Son and his family became seasonal residents that same year after the first time they visited us.
We had several reasons to choose Woodsong, the resort has so many trees, the sites are spacious and not on top of one another (we were unhappy with the state park sites that felt like we were camping with the neighbors behind us and on both sides of us). We also appreciate the resort speed limit which allows our grandchildren to be safe when walking and biking in camp.
We have a great group of friends at Woodsong that we attend bingo with, have dinner with and even have traveled with.
There are so many reasons to be a part of the Woodsong community that I highly recommend that you visit and see for yourself.

Clean park with lots of fun activities and amenities for families! Large seasonal spots with DNR land behind our site. The park is also close to the metro which has been a huge benefit for our family. We have been very happy at Woodsong!

Giving 2 stars only because this place has such great potential and is a beautiful property.

I've been visiting this campground for well over 20 years, I grew up at Woodsong (formerly Hilltop) and have seen the changes in campground owners over the years. The latest owners, Tex & Becka, have made this place quite undesirable to visit the last few years.

They are the most strict and rude owners this campground has ever had, in my opinion. Previous owners knew every seasonal and visitor by name and would ride around on a golf cart multiple times a day greeting everyone and even hanging out with us at our campsite. It truly felt like family.

Weekend spots used to booked to the brim months in advance with many activities on weekends and tons of family friendly events and gatherings, prior to their ownership. Now, weekend spots always seem to be open, and looking at their rates and new memberships online, I can see why. During the week, the office and amenities are not even open... so what is the point of coming to the camper as a seasonal or even as a daily camper during the week? The pool has been low on water for awhile now, and it doesn't feel heated.

With that, no one is going to pay $40- $80 a night when they could go to a state park for half that price. They continuously are raising seasonal rates, and have even put in their latest contract that you must pay them $75 if you list your camper for sale privately or on their grounds (such as puting a for sale sign on it).

It's been very sad to see and hear so many of my close friends and family members pull out of this "resort" because they are tired of the price hikes and strict management (getting yelled at and charged for going over 5mph)... You can't even ride your breaks 5mph through a campground. It does a lot of damage to your vehicle.

Overall, this used to be an amazing place.

Beautiful, well maintained campground. Nice, clean pool. Friendly owners & guests. Very peaceful. if you are looking for a place to party loud into the night or have your kids (you) tearing around on golf carts or atv's, this is not the place for you. We appreciated the family-friendly atmosphere with established rules so we could relax/rest.
