Golden Acres RV Park

This was not a good stop for us. This park was crowded with vehicles for the beach ( daily users) and hard to maneuver to the camp spot, also with little direction and a confusing map. Lots of permanent sites that were not maintained and overgrown and unkept. Squeezed in between. Also the water whistled and made noises; not sure what that was about. We adjusted and adjusted but noise continued. I would not recommend this place as a stop for traveling campers. Like I said, mostly permanent campers and daily users.

Very good internet, zero streaming issues whille watching a movie in the evening or working during the day. Loud drunk gatherings from dinner time until all hours of the night on weekends. Also many cigarette smokers near campsite blowing into our camper. Weekday was ok for us but would not recommend on weekends.

**management has reached out to say they are dealing with the offenders. Changed to 2 stars.

I have been a resident at Golden Acres campground for many years. Many changes have been done in the last couple years that really cleand up and improved the campground. The friendly, family atmosphere with residents and staff is top notch, with going the extra to help anyone. I would recommend just to see the clean beach and lake, of course stop at the shop for a pizza and ice cream to top off you visit. 😋

One of the most welcoming and peaceful campgrounds in the twin cities!! Maya and her crew manage wonderfully and love the beautiful lake and people here.

Since there is a no star rating, I would have to check this one.

What a disappointment!

The site to park our trailer in was smaller than anticipated and they just put fresh grass down and gravel down. It is obviously because of the flooding of that particular site.

Our site was C 11.

We were told by Manager Maya when we got there that only four spaces are available for daily/weekly rentals. If we knew that in advance, that would have told us so much more about this terrible place.

We paid in advance for five days ($405.00!) expecting much better. The majority of the trailers there are permanent and rundown. They have obviously been there for a long while. Mud roads in/out allow you to get STUCK.

NO REFUND EITHER. $405.00 what a rip-off!

VERY DISAPPOINTED. RUN AWAY FROM EVEN CONSIDERING THIS CAMPGROUND.

Stillwater has a reputation as an upscale community and area.

This “trailer park” is an absolute P.O.S. with mud/muck/dirt/unsightly areas and junk throughout the area. Look at my photos for proof!

Looking for a FULL REFUND of our $405.00 ASAP.
