Absolutely beautiful campground. We would love to go back. Bring your own firewood. Not much around the local area if you are the type to want to go venture to town. Trails were amazing. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful.

We have been going to the woods for many years. It is one of our favorite camping. It is our get away and so enjoyable. Space are spread out with all of the electric and water. Beautiful lake with a 2.5 miles trail. Peaceful and quiet and dog friendly. When you just want to get away or going thru on the Natchez Trace this is a wonderful stop over or for a few days camping. You get back to nature

Very clean campground. However not allowing kayaks on the lake nor fishing was totally uncalled for; asinine to be exact. Excuse was people were illegally fishing from kayaks. Why not up the Park Ranger patrols and make your presence known? We saw a ranger pass through the campground while there by the way. Why punish the masses for the actions of a few? I should be able to enjoy ALL activities of a National Forest as a tax payer especially while paying a camping fee also.

This is a lovely place and we had a great time. The restrooms were very clean, the campsite was clean. The host/hostess were very nice and informative. The walk around the lake was wonderful. Go to MSU and buy cheese and such from their store. The Veranda is overrated and too pricey. At the campsite there were a couple of stray dogs. These should be caught and taken to the shelter. I don't like them to starve and they could have rabies. Thanks

Great campground with 30+ miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, ranging from casual walking paths around the lake to long climbs and challenging singletrack further into the trail system. Fishing wasn't allowed while we were there as they were re-stocking the lake but we were told that it will be open for fishing again in the spring of 2021. Beautiful lake views and well kept area in general. Will be staying here again.

Camp host made us feel welcome. He checked to make sure we were setup for our stay. The park was clean. All of the amenities worked. We will stay at this park again.
