Some family and friends of mined camped for 3 nights there. We loved it. There was 5 campers in our group. We would have loved to have sewage hook up but we understand the expense of this. One complaint I do have is the lack of lighting in the campground. Walking at night couldn't be done or walking to the bathhouse/restroom required a flashlight. we discussed this and how nice it would have been to have had more lighting.

Great hiking, nice campsites on the lake. Host was helpful and friendly. Beware of the first come first serve process.

the camp ground was beautiful. Grass cut and clean. I wish that you could reserve sites along the small lake waterfront instead of being FF. If you drive 4 1/2 hours to get there, you would be very disappointed not to be able to be on the lake. Needs camping / RV sites along the big lake. Grass around the small lake needs cutting . I would make it my go to place if I could reserve along the waterfront on the small lake.

A comfortable stay on the lake, with surprisingly few bugs or 'camp visitors' through the night. The lake was the perfect temp for swimming and despite being a holiday weekend (before July 4th), the place was still fairly open. I didn't go fishing, but it reminds me so much of a place I went all the time as a kid, and I would put money on some good fish living in there, even if just for the kids.

This is a really nice national forest park on a lovely lake. There is a trail around the lake with side trails. Our site was #21 and the only site with sewer as it used to be a park host site. The other sites have water and electric and all are very nice. Most have new concrete picnic tables. We were near the restroom, and it's older and could use a refresh. Park host is very nice and came around to great us.
