Thoroughly enjoyed our little 3 night vacay at Timberlake Campground. Jason at front desk was very helpful and answered all my questions. Nice and quiet but very close to Kroger and other places to eat. Definitely be back.

This is an amazing place to camp, live, whatever you want. If the RV life is what you want, it doesn’t get any better than a lot on the rez. It’s also extremely affordable.Side Note: There is a little fellow on a golf cart that wants badly to be a cop, but even so, I wouldn’t let that spoil everything else the place has to offer.

I really love this place overall—it's a quiet, peaceful park with fantastic views of the Barnett Reservoir.
What we liked:
-Spacious sites featuring large concrete slabs and full hookups
-Very reasonable daily rates.
-Nice, affordable laundry facilities on-site.
-Friendly staff—Jason at reception was especially helpful and welcoming.
-The park stays quiet, making it a relaxing spot.

Nearby conveniences:
-Shaggy’s restaurant is close by and a great place to eat.
-A Kroger grocery store is also nearby.

A few things to note:
-No cable TV or Wi-Fi is provided, though we had excellent Verizon cell service and plenty of over-the-air (OTA) TV channels.
-Alcohol is not allowed in the park.
-Our site didn't come with a picnic table.
-Package/mail delivery isn't very secure—items are left unmonitored outside under a roof.

Despite those minor cons, it's a solid choice for a peaceful stay by the water. Highly recommend.

The web site assigned us a site with no option. We got there and it was really tight to back into. It's a cement pad and really unlevel. The sewer doesn't seem to take stuff you pull open the valve and it fills up the hose and takes a half hour or more to go down. The place is poorly layed out you have to drive through the hole place to get to get to your site ours was almost right where we started.

Absolutely beautiful area and campgrounds. Very quiet. Just the sound of a few kids playing. We sat in our lawn chairs fishing and watching the children play in the nearby park.
Shaggy’s is a restaurant close by and it’s amazing. Everyone is so nice!
As far as complaints of full timers…didn’t bother us at all! They were great people! They change sites once a month for monthly or once a year for yearly. All their places were well maintained and they can tell you where to eat and what the fish are biting.
Thanks Timberlake! You are doing it right! Definitely coming back.
