The Landing at MovieTown

I have been here 3 weeks. The only problem i have had so far is that the power went out, the power company came out and was only able to get power to 1/8 of the campground because the other part was installed by the campground. So we had no electricity from about 7 pm until the next morning. I lost all my food in the fridge and freezer. Plus I had to find another place to stay which was hard because alot of the other campers did the same thing. I work about 13 hours a day so this was a major inconvenience.

This is a two sided review. By that we mean, we arrived after days of heavy rain so the campground did not show well. Very tall grass, lots of mud and quite few trees that scratched the roof of our RV. They need some serious pruning. The positive - clearly the new owners spent a lot of money repaving the entire campground. But why so many "speed bump" and why are they so large? Because the campground is almost entirely area workers with towable RV's - the rate is appropriate. The new construction (expansion) area is quite large so it will be interesting to see how that turns out.
Serious power issues. The pedestal will put out two legs of 120v power. However, the system is old and the park was completely full with everyone running their A/C,s. The result is that the pedestal could not deliver enough amps to fully power a large Class A.

Mel at the front desk helped us out tremendously after our truck had mechanical problems and our 5th wheel work traveling RV was needing to be stored. She made the transition from RV campsite to storage flawless. The outstanding service provided helped our work tour across the country access this safe spot for storage. Thank you

This Rv Park is about 1 mile off of the interstate. All of the roads and RV sites are gravel, but our spot which I think is number 143 is fairly level. We are in a 40 foot Motorhome towing a full-size truck. It fit nicely in the spot and it was easy to get set up. There are a lot of full timers, but the park itself is clean and laid out well.

They apparently are also adding another section as there are a lot of earth moving equipment building the new area. there is a large hidden dumpster, and plenty of places for the dog. I would give this five stars, but it is all gravel with no paved sites.

Good size pull through and back in sites. Cute cabins. New laundry and office area. Friendly staff. Clean and well maintained park. I only gave 4 stars because there wasn’t a picnic table or fire pit on any of the sites. Also because of the noise and dust from the new construction. I would definitely come back in a year or so to see all the planned changes that are happening.
