Extremely helpful and friendly camp host greeted us as we arrived late in the day. We had a lovely back-in site on the lake where we enjoyed the sunset and sunrise. Only an overnight stop for us, so we didn't use or even explore any of the facilities or the rest of the park. Campsite was mostly level and freshly filled with raked sand.

The contractor that keeps the campground up didn't renew their contract. The grass wasn't cut or the bathrooms cleaned. I hope this situation gets resolved soon!

Well the people next to us were rude, there was garbage in the campsite like papers, plastic and beer bottle twist tops , pine needles and Leaves. covering the ground, the bar be q was filthy. the rest room was a stinking mess smelled like shit and toilet papers all over the floor GROSS. Other than that, it was just OK. The whole park look run down the grass is a foot high in most places, so the knits and mosquitos are thick.

We have camped there for many years and have always loved it there. This year the park seems like it’s starting to run down a little more. I understand that the park was closed for a while because of flooding and they have no control of that, but the grass needs cutting, we went back home and got our weed eater and cut the grass around our campsite, noticed a couple of other campers doing the same

Great location, enjoyed the lake. Helpful staff. I had blown a tire on my camper on the trip there and took out the water lines. Had to use the bath house which was very nice and clean.

This is the best that Lake Okatibbee offers for camping. It is in need of some improvements because some of the sites can be muddy and the grass is left to grow too long between trimming. Still it’s one of our favorite “local” campgrounds with close up views of the lake.
