What Guests Are Saying
Twiltley Branch Campground is praised for its friendly staff, beautiful lake views, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite destination for many campers. Visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, ample outdoor activities, and the cleanliness of the facilities. However, some concerns were raised about road conditions, bathroom maintenance, and communication regarding closures, which could be improved for a better overall experience.

Older but sites are large enough.
I liked that there was a hiking trail around the campground lake with some additional trails not on the trailhead diagram. It looks like the trail is extended to at least start going around the lower lake also.
Lake Bistineau State Park is not too far away for some more hiking if that is your thing. Glad I stayed here instead of there though, just made a day trip to the park.
Saw a few people shore fishing along the dam and one kid says he will shore fish from spots around the whole lake.

Campsite was in good condition. Bathroom with shower is some distance from any of the campsites, but was in good condition. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Trees need to be trimmed back off sites and drives- the site we booked online said it could accommodate a 40’ camper, but there was 6 trees growing on the site and in the drive of the site. A lot of the sites have trees in the drive and on the site. The roads are in desperate need of a leaf blower, so were the sites. It was impossible to tell where the road ended or the sites where even at without getting out and kicking leaves.
Gate house attendants were nice.
We were there 3 nights and no one cleaned the bathrooms.

Amazing remote campground! Hosts were extremely helpful, guiding me in at night via several phone calls.
