We have camped there for many years and have always loved it there. This year the park seems like it’s starting to run down a little more. I understand that the park was closed for a while because of flooding and they have no control of that, but the grass needs cutting, we went back home and got our weed eater and cut the grass around our campsite, noticed a couple of other campers doing the same

Great location, enjoyed the lake. Helpful staff. I had blown a tire on my camper on the trip there and took out the water lines. Had to use the bath house which was very nice and clean.

This is the best that Lake Okatibbee offers for camping. It is in need of some improvements because some of the sites can be muddy and the grass is left to grow too long between trimming. Still it’s one of our favorite “local” campgrounds with close up views of the lake.

COE never mentioned anything about the lake being drained, which closed ALL access to the water for any reason. No signs were posted in the campground to explain why the lake was drained - I never saw a Ranger during my 6 days. The only reason I booked the reservation at this site was to use the lake. Refunds should be provided!
